All eyes in the world of student sport turned to Turin today, as the torch lighting ceremony of the 29th Summer Universiade Taipei 2017 ignited a flame set to burn until 30 August 2017. The Italian city was chosen in recognition of its role as host of the first ever Universiade in 1959. The ceremony was hosted by the University of Turin.
