London 2017 signs up two more sponsors
Jordans Cereals, the UK-based cereal brand, and Nordic Sport, the Sweden-based sports equipment company, have become the latest companies to sign up as sponsors of this summer’s IAAF World Championships and World Para Athletics Championships in London.
Jordans becomes a national supplier of both events and is to provide athletes, coaches, officials and staff with 350,000 cereal bars throughout the two championships.
The company joins UK water brand Strathmore, Dutch brewer Heineken and Yoghurt brand Müller as a supplier of the IAAF World Championships, which are taking place at the London Stadium from 5 to 13 August.
Nordic Sport, the sports equipment brand, becomes a supplier of the World Para Athletics Championships, which are taking place from 14 to 23 July.
Under the deal, the company is to supply equipment for the high jump, long jump and throwing events.
Dennis Österberg, deputy managing director, Nordic Sport, commented: “We are happy to add the World Para Athletics Championships to a long list of major athletics events we have worked with in the past 45 years.”
Meanwhile, the IAAF, athletics’ international governing body, has announced that the World Under-18 Championships in Nairobi, Kenya will be live-streamed.
Coverage of the championships, which get under way today and run until 16 July, will feature a geo-blocked live stream, which will be available in more than 160 countries.
